Well on this coming Sunday I take my first trip to my new job on the touring show called Dralion. I will start integrating with them over the next two to three months and hopefully if all goes well by mid to late February I should be heading over to Tokyo to stay with the new tour. This upcoming trip is only for a little more than a week and I will start to get to know the show, some of the people there, and then will help them do their teardown in Nagoya see a map of Japan. After that I will come back to Mexico city where I will help Quidam do their prep for the move from here to Monterrey. I will participate in this transfer and then do the 2-1/2 week city run of Monterrey. At the end of Monterrey I will do the teardown there and help the tour move to Veracruz and then about 3-4 days into setup I should be able to leave. Hopefully if all works out and things are going well then I’ll fly to the US for about a week before flying over to join Dralion permanently. If things are going as well as hoped I might have to then come back for the teardown of Veracruz but I’m hoping to avoid that.

When I finally get back to Japan on my next trip I will this time be joining them for their second run in Tokyo. They call it Tokyo 2. I’ll do about a month with them there before we start the transfer to the last city in Japan, Fukuoka. After that the tour has what they call an “annual leave” and who knows where I’ll go for that or what I’ll be doing then. But the best of all news is that the next stop on the tour is Sydney Australia. Yep that is right I’m heading back down under and am totally excited. I had a great time the first time around and I just know that I’ll have an even better one next time. So if any of my Australian friends happen to be reading this please stand by for dates of when I’ll be coming to see you again

Please don’t let me downplay Japan at all because I am also really excited about going there as well. I should be in Japan for the b looming of the Cherry blossoms and I should have enough time off to hopefully explore a bunch of the country. I don’t know if I’ll do any diving while I’m over there as I’ll be really there trying to get to learn the show and get situated but you never know I might try and sneak away and get some of the new gear, that I’m about to purchase, wet.

If have time I’ll try and write again from Japan or at least when I get back to Mexico City.

After having the interview and talking to a couple of people after the interview it was just a waiting game to see when and if they’d make the decision to hire me. Unfortunately Dralion was still waiting and people, rightfully so, were getting concerned for time reasons about the Dralion job. So I was sent an email that I had make a decision on Monday, today. Well this morning at 9:00am I got the phone call from my former boss telling me that I didn’t get the job at Tokyo Disney for a variety of reasons. Needless to say I was kind of shocked but as soon as I hung up the phone with him I called Montreal to accept the Dralion job.

I still haven’t heard back from Montreal yet but I know they can get really busy up there so I’m hoping that either later today or tomorrow I’ll get a confirmation of this job.

So now I’m about to gear up to head to another tour and some new opportunities. I’ll be heading first to a Japan where I have never been but have been wanting to go for quite some time. Then I’ll be heading back down under again and I have to say I’m very excited about that. I’m really looking forward to seeing more of Australia this time, doing a lot more scuba diving and when I get over to New Zealand I am really looking forward to doing a lot of fly fishing.

The rest of my time here on Quidam will undoubtedly be extremely busy and of course when I get to Dralion I will again be extremely busy trying to learn a new show AND see Japan at the same time but I’m looking forward to all of it.

I don’t know if I’ll blog again before I go home for Christmas and get really busy with leaving here and arriving in Japan. So if I don’t I just wanted to take the opportunity to say MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY NEW YEAR. I miss everyone and hopefully will have the opportunity to come say hi soon.

Oh yeah, I’m in Mexico city right now. I had food poisoning on Tuesday night, the Premier party was on my Birthday and I’m in the process of interviewing for some new jobs.
